Beyond the Cure is committed to helping childhood cancer survivors integrate the cancer experience into their new life as survivors and successfully handle the challenges ahead of them. Beyond the Cure is a program of the National Children's Cancer Society.

National Cancer Institute's Cancer Information Service provides a toll-free telephone information service (1-800-4-CANCER) and an active Partnership Program. CIS Partnership coordintors in your community may help plan local cancer awareness events. Click on "CIS Regional Programs" to find the office serving your state.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which is part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, has the names of Comprehensive Cancer Control contacts for each state. These contacts can put you in touch with regional and local people and groups that may be potential members of your event planning team.

Lance Armstrong Foundation (LAF) provides the practical information and tools people living with cancer need to live strong. LIVESTRONG, the LAF’s online educational resource for cancer survivors, provides survivorship stories and topics on the physical, emotional and practical issues that may be part of dealing with cancer.

Gilda's Club WorldWide is a free cancer support community for men, women and children with any type of cancer, and their family and friends. Free membership is offered to people at any stage of their experience with cancer. Through groups meetings, lectures, workshops and social events, members build social and emotional support and learn to live with cancer. There are 20 Gilda's Clubs throughout the US and Canada.

Wellness Community is an international non-profit organization dedicated to providing support, education and hope for all people affected by cancer – at no cost. Today, there are 21 Wellness Communities across the United States, five in development, and two abroad in Tokyo and Tel Aviv.

Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education, and patient services. Its site includes medical news and information about educational workshops on a variety of issues, including survivorship, advocacy, fund-raising events, and volunteer opportunities.
