5 Things to Do

As an adolescent or young adult cancer survivor, you have been through a lot. You are wiser and stronger today as a result. Use that strength to keep yourself as healthy as possible. Here are 5 things you can do:

1. Get Your Records. It is important that you get copies of all your cancer treatment records from the hospital or clinic where you were treated..
2. Have Follow-Up Care for Life. Long-term follow up care from a clinic or a provider in your community is critical to your long-term health.
3. Pass Your Records On. Share your cancer treatment records with your general practitioner, dentist, and other health care providers.
4. Eat your veggies. Make good decisions about diet, exercise, smoking, and other lifestyle behaviors.
5. Hook up to help. If you have emotional, educational, or other cancer-related problems, find out where to get help.

After you've taken care of yourself, you may feel ready to help others. Discover cool ways to make a difference at www.mylion.org.
